Since Tuesday, labfolder is exhibiting at analytica, one of the largest international trade fairs and conference for laboratory technology, analysis and biotechnology, annually attracting a large audience from all around the world. Traditionally, analytica had been for analytical chemistry only, but nowadays the exhibition covers a large spectrum of laboratory sciences. In 2012, 1,026 exhibitors from 37 countries were drawn to analytica, presenting their latest innovations to an audience of more than 30,000 trade visitors from 110 countries. analytica is not only an exhibition for the latest developments in research, but also features a diverse program of exclusive events, connecting decision-makers from all branches of the industry. Besides analytica, other relevant trade fairs in Germany areBIOTECHNICA, a more life science and laboratory equipment orientated fair in Hannover, and Achema, a forum and leading show for the chemical engineering industry.
Even though our labfolder-booth is pretty small, we scored a great spot at analytica: just in front of the impressive Millipore booth, or „the palace“ as we call this impressive showpalace. But just as the number one rule in real estate, it’s all about location, location, location at a trade fair like analytica. Thus, we’re happy to be here and can call our first exhibition a success even though the trade fair is not over until tomorrow.
Being the first day of analytica 2014, Tuesday turned out to be the day of settling in and getting a good look around the trade fair itself. We took turns in strolling through the halls, visiting other exhibitors and checking out all the latest innovations on display, while demonstrating labfolder to visitors at our booth.
On the contrary, the second day of the analytica fair turned out to be by far the busiest – just as we were told! 10 hours of constant product demonstration let us to call it a day after the exhibition closed its doors at 6 pm. Nonetheless – in the evening, we were rewarded with bavarian beer, bavarian food and bavarian folklore, including „Peitschenschnalzen“ and “Schuhplattler“ at the exhibitors party.
All in all analytica has been a success for labfolder so far – not only in terms of presenting our product, but also in terms of receiving positive feedback from current and potential labfolder users, visiting our booth and discussing pros and cons of our digital lab notebook with us. Apart from that, we also gained the following insides from attending analytica, all valuable “life lessons” for a start-up like us:
Ever thought of visiting analytica and couldn’t decide whether to head to Munich or not? Well, we highly recommend you to get a ticket and don’t miss to visit our labfolder-booth, of course! As for the labfolder, we’ll definitely be back in Munich for analytica 2016 and maybe even attend analytica 2015 in Saigon, Vietnam.
