Is labfolder safe?

labfolder uses state of the art web security technology to protect users’ data. The server-client communication is made very secure by using the military-grade AES-256 encryption standard. This ensures that all users will remain the official owners of their data. Not even labfolder has access to your data. The only time labfolder would have access to data would be if it were necessary to provide our services and the owner has explicitly agreed to grant labfolder this access.

The labfolder servers are exclusively located in Germany. Therefore underlying European data protection laws ensure that third-party access to your data is not possible. Also, Nightly backups of your data are generated and stored in two separate locations. One of these locations is non-disclosed, providing more protection. Furthermore, the ELN structures your data in a way which gives you maximum intellectual property protection.
